u guys have no idea what RB is? So why bothering us with comments and giving a shit? I was a daily viewer of RB, mostly because of Amanda. Hopefully there's a lot to see from her on unboomed.

i thought i was completely out of touch with some major news event going on.... what's Rocketboom? who is this Amanda person? i didn't see this story on CNN or the BBC websites.... i'm so glad i checked out the comments, coz no other f*cker knew who these nobodies were either !!!! Gothamist, get rid of this non-news garbage, and get back to important stuff that is happening to people from Williamsburg!

Don, the rocketboom site has alot of archives available for you to watch if you want to check it out. Personally, I was never a daily reader, but I would check it out at the end of the week to catch up. It was basically the first successful video blog. Similar in style I guess to the Daily Show. Amanda was the host, reporting on various weird things found on the net. Occasionally they would run video clips from correspondents around the world, which were more serious in tone, but still very interesting. I don't want to mis-describe it, so I'm sure I'll be corrected. But the show was Amanda for many, that much is clear. I doubt it would be as popular as it is/was without her.
