- Mets 8, Yankees 3: The Mets woke up from their four-game slump in the first inning during yesterday's game at Yankee Stadium, scoring two runs in the first frame. It got better for the Mets in the 4th when they scored 5 runs. Randy Johnson allowed 8 runs in a game for the first time since 2003 and continued his 1st inning struggles. Steve Trachsel pitched 6 innings, allowing 2 runs and left the game with tightness in his groin, something that was bothering him previously, but shouldn't result in any missed action. The eight runs scored by the Mets equals their run production during their losing streak. The two teams face off tonight at 8:05 in the rubber game with Alay Soler facing Jaret Wright.
- Revolution 3, Red Bulls 2: Clint Dempsy scored two goals for the Revolution, his first since returning from a brief stint in Germany for some little soccer tournament.
- Renegades 2, S.I. Yankees 1: The Yankees drop to .500 by losing to the first place Renegades.
- Ironbirds 6, Cyclones 4: Another game, another loss for the Cyclones. At least they kept it close.

ah, those mets sure know how to piss you off.
One of the things I hate about baseball on Fox is that Fox has no idea how to properly broadcast a baseball game. The annoucers suck and the presentation is a joke. When the game is on Fox, turning the sound down is the best option. The $64,000 question is what sort of dirt does Tim McCarver have on the people at Fox, as that is the only possible explanation of why this idiot is still on televison. I have met him in person and he is one of the biggest assholes in the known universe.
And the Mets won and the Yankees lost, YAY!
Wow, I didn't know Alay Soler is now pitching for the yanks as he will be facing David Wright!
