Ali's is the best roti shop in Brooklyn, both shops (Flatbush & Utica) pretty much nail it in terms of similarities to roti in T&T. I do wish they put mango in it like they do down in T&T, but the soya chunks are a nice addition.

And don't forget peanut punch as a drink. It's almost like a peanut butter pie in liquid form.

I have been getting Ali's on Flatbush for lunch about once a week for a while now, after a coworker taught me how to eat roti "correctly"; with the fingers! You really have to dig in there and get yourself messy.

Their chicken roti is quite good, however I don't recommend their goat as I have had much better.

Let's see the look on the cashier's face when I order me "two doubles with chicken" next time.

just ate there a few weeks ago (the Flatbush shop),and they are amazing! If you've got a bit more of an appetite, they'll stuff it with meat or chicken if you like as well...my chicken with chick pea double hit the spot!

Even better, and closer to the Prospect Park station, is Lenny's. It is a hole-in-the-wall on Washington Ave. just north of Lincoln Road where Washington runs into Flatbush.

There are also great doubles at A&A on Nostrand Ave. near Fulton St.
