THEATER: The year's not half over, but we'd bet good money that Men Eat Mars Bars While Touching Their Penis, which opens tonight, would win the prize for most audacious title of 2006, if there were such an award. Written by Jennifer Slack-Eaton, a former cocktail waitress who knows many exotic dancers and based the 5 women in the play on the stories they've told her, the play goes behind the scenes of a strip club to reveal what the dancers' lives are really like -- in other words, baring a meaningful all, not just a fleshly all, and challenging stereotypes that even the most "enlightened" among us often have about women in the industry. - Mallory Jensen

MUSIC: Tonight Brooklyn Vegan teams up with Todd P to put on a show that only a space in Bushwick could provide the right atmosphere for. Land of Talk, Tokyo Police Club and The Ballet take the stage as Ramesh from Voxtrot & Finger on the Pulse man the decks. We hear there are some surprises in store. BV points out that a DJ requested a guitar and Land of Talk added a keyboard to their show (hmm, wonder if one of their Canadian friends will be joining them...that would sure be quite a "scene").

8pm // 98 Ingraham St, Bushwick // $8
