L&E's is good and all, but if you wander the Bronx a bit you will find even better. Patricia's has two locations, on Morris Park and one on Tremont- decent thin crust. Sorrento's on Williamsbridge Rd. and Neill Ave. makes the best sicilian in the city. (Excluding L&B's "square pizza" of course)

In addition to my comment above, feel free to return to the city's restaurant inspection web site. This establishment (EASILY located under the name 'ernie') has not failed inspection. Boogie Down represent!

Eater beware, All is not what it seems in food land. Food inspections are needed, more so during the Summer months. Food poisoning is not a laughing matter or an excuse to get a day off.

Stop crying about inspections and learn proper usage rules for question marks, you babies. Two thumbs up for L&E's. Try taking a day trip to the Bronx with them being your lunch pit stop. Finish the day with a but-gusting Italian affair at Arthur Ave. Crybabies not allowed..this is the Bronx, remember?

Weird, but this is the second Gothamist restaurant review in the past day or so (other was Thighs and Pies) where the establishment can't be found on the city's restaurant inspection web site. I know the & in names is tricky for 'puters, but even browsing by neighborhood, I couldn't find either one. It'd be cool if Gothamist includes that info in the future -- awesome burgers aren't so awesome when the place is cited for having vermin, swollen cans of food, or sewage backing up in the pantry.
