This is old hat, my family used to do it up during the summer with icecream in left over hot dog buns (why oh why don't the number of weiners ever match the number of buns, why??????). Don't knock it till you try it, it's delicious. For some reason, vanilla is the best match.

It's all the rage in Sicily! Who knew the amazing marriage of brioche and gelato had made it to Brooklyn? It's wonderful, and you'll snarf it well before it gets melty.

i was in thailand in january and there were street vendors serving ice cream on hot dog buns. two scoops! i had one, of course, and it wasn't gross, just unexpected.
