Beatfuse Rocks P.S. 1 Patio

Youngna was at P.S. 1 in Long Island City yesterday, and caught some preview shots of the new outdoor art installation. It's called Beatfuse, and it was designed by OBRA, an architecture firm based in New York. Looks pretty fresh-- we'll be down to check it out in person on July 1st, when PS1 hosts the Warm Up dance party.

This is very reminiscent of Rafael Guastavino's Tile Arch Designs, probably most notable at the Pearl Oyster Bar in Grand Central Terminal. I love his work and this looks pretty good in comparison.
