Warning: It's HOT Today

2006_06_sun.jpgWe hope that most of you are taking advantage of the sunny weather, but we hope you're being careful. Health officials have put out an air quality advisory for all five boroughs till 11PM tonight. NY1 reports, "Health officials say the threat of 90 degree weather coupled with pollution is resulting in poor air quality. These conditions could make breathing difficult for people with respiratory problems." Which follows up a post we did about how exercising outside in the city can be difficult, given all the exhaust. At any rate, put that SPF 30 on, take it easy and enjoy!

Update: We're hearing that over 30 people at Penn Station are requiring emergency assistance, possibly because they are overcome by heat!

  • SPF 30?

The higher the SPF the better, especially if you have all the good Northern European heat and sun tolerance genes.

Don't forget drink plenty of fluids because dehydration is no fun!
