It's A Small World After All

2006_06_18_planetManhattan.jpg

Our parents always told us that we grew up in the center of the universe, but after looking at the above photo for a few minutes we're happy to settle for just growing up on our own little planet. Even if it does make us really want to go and beat Katamari Damacy (again)...

Want to know how to make your own similar planet? Here's the scoop:

- Open in PhotoShop
- Crop to make left and right border fit (especially the waterline)
- Rotate by 180°
- Rescale into a square image
- "Polar" Filter in PhotoShop
- Do some digital editing to hide the stitch borders

Have fun (and don't forget to tag your results with "Gothamist" in Flickr).

. . . its only the center of the KNOWN universe. Didn't they teach about about hubris at Chicago?

  • i'm kinda embarrassed that i'm going to download those, but the music was one of the best parts of the game... thanks simon!
