Holy mother of God. David Blaine is thinking about his next project (and probably the next five after that), and he wants it to be on the Brooklyn Bridge. In post-overhydration interview with the NY Post, Blaine says, "Challenging myself on this bridge has been my lifelong dream." And some people dream of finding a cure for cancer! And this would certainly be a challenge for the NYPD to secure the bridge. But we digress, because the interview is fun for a couple reasons:
- Blaine loves to namedrop: "I told my friends Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn about the sphere stunt, but they were extremely concerned for my safety." Even better: When Sean and Robin introduced him to a brain surgeon to explain why it was risky, Blaine just brought the brain surgeon onto his sphere stunt team!
- His favorite pizza is from DiFara - he would dream of it while in the sphere
- His prune hands went back to normal after a day
- His next plan is to film in the jungle and live with dangerous animals to show they aren't so dangerous (dude, tell that to Roy Horn!)
While we think most anything with David Blaine is insane, we'll probably be there when he strings himself up on the Brooklyn Bridge. We bet more people will be walking on it, so they can throw food at him.

I'm glad that New Yorkers throw food at him too, it was such a let down whn the police decided that it would comprimise public safety when thiry odd London gays thought it would be a good idea to go and throw sausages at him, so put a stop to it.
live with dangerous animals to show they aren't so dangerous (dude, tell that to Timothy Treadwell!)
hello,
what I don't understand is why people make fun of David Blaine so much. the New York daily News writes "Houdini wannabee", "another cry for attention". i just so happen to like David Blaine. he pushes the human body to extreme limits, which I'm sure that all the people who write trash about him can't do. i think he is amazing, and i don't understand why people can't respect his challenges .
to call David Blaine's challenges "stunts" or "attention seeking behavior" is a form of childish, ignorant behavior.
again, I don't think any of the people who talk trash about him can perform any of his challenges. also in America, everything is a stunt and a way to get money. no matter who you are or what you do, if your in America, you are trying to make money. besides that point which applies to all Americans, David Blaine is Genuine.
I respect that you have your opinion, in which everyone is entitled to, but what i dont understand is why people disrespect him, his achievements, and his ability to push the limits of the human mind.
