<description>&lt;p&gt;I think poor, fair and good from the headline is accurate.  The really visible parks, Central, Bryant, Madison Square, are in great condition while the less visible, less visited ones can be in poor shape.

There have been lots of improvements in Morningside Park in the five years I&apos;ve been walking through it.  I&apos;m no longer approached by beggars, signs of drug use have almost entirely disappeared, and there have been major capital improvements.  However, the park still needs work.  Some stairs are crumbling or uneven and some lawns aren&apos;t maintained very well.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
