Go to No Idea when it's you're "name" night (there's a calendar outside and on their Web site) and you drink for free. El Cantinero's upstairs bar has $3/$4 margaritas most nights and free greasy food.

i don't think that paying for drinks makes one a sucker. rather, spending enough time in bars to make friends with the barkeep makes one a sucker. get a life. i did. for every free drink i have received, i had paid for more than necessary. i gave up on that and am far happier now.
