There\'s a real irony that the die-hard Democrats, the ones that post here and constantly put down the \"red states\" as stupid and tout their own superior intelligence and education, think that a campaign totally devoid of new ideas could possibly win an election. The entire mantra of 2004 was how great things were in the 1990s when Clinton was President. Wake up! It\'s not the 1990s. Clinton didn\'t have to deal with a more powerful and energy hungry China. There was plenty of global terrorism directed at the US in the 1990s and Clinton did nothing. And I\'m not just talking about invading Afghanistan or killing bin Laden. Perhaps he could have had the sense to move our troops out of Saudi Arabia to lessen the ire of the Muslim world.

So when you say the voters are falling for the fear mongering, I seem to recall that it was Chuck Schumer that was leading the charge on protection for airplanes from shoulder launched missiles. And if there is nothing to fear than why the outrage over Homeland Security funding? Is it simply politics for you guys? Superior intellect indeed.

The terror alert color hasn\'t changed since the presidential election. Whenever democrats came ahead in the polls, the terror alert would change. Since the election, it hasn\'t budged. This is a purely political scheme with no real relevance to vigilance against terror.
