h -- if i liked listening to boring moralist lectures i\'d get up early on sunday. your half-assedly expressed sense of aesthetics should not be our policy. if you don\'t like it, move to berkeley or someplace else where they like that sort of thing, but please don\'t try to remake new york into your own image and make it a new dipshit jerusalem. nycinic -- everyone knows that roman candles are most fun when fired at the people you\'re with, not other people\'s roofs. and although fireworks are -totally- inappropriate in such a densely populated area i do lament the modern drive to eliminate all possible risks at any cost and try to child-proof the world.

thats right..come over to jersey and get your fireworks! hell..ask my chinese neighbor..he almost lit the entire street on fire last year lol! the smoke was so bad we had to close the windows cause it was setting off the fire alarms lol!

The city seizes cars all the time. And the Feds will too. Also, don't get caught with drug money and then deny it's yours. Automatic forfeiture.

Too bad Bloomberg doesn't apply this policy to reckless car drivers who threaten (and kill/injure) pedestrians and bicyclists everyday. Fireworks are chump change compared to motorist and our car culture.
