Pencil This In

MUSIC: If you aren't going to a 06.06.06 party tonight, and if we are in fact all here and the apocolypse hasn't happened...we suggest getting over to the Delancey. Why? Because it's the first Beg Yr Pardon party and there will be free red velvet cupcakes and brownies! There will also be all you can eat BBQ if you're into that sort of thing (for an extra $5). Oh, and music! There is also music. The lineup is: Momad, Kickstart, Fenwick, Up The Empire and Cholo.

The first band, Momad, is on at 8pm. Nothing comes up when you google their name, you know what that means, don't you? You should also stay until 11:30 because at that time free beer will be dispersed - and we know how much you love the juice. - Jen Carlson

7:30pm // The Delancey // $5

THEATER: As the press release for Theater Faction's Celebrate Good Times (Macbeth) notes, Shakespeare's famously bloody, paranoid play first premiered almost exactly four hundred years ago. Who knows how many performances it has had since, and it (and plenty of other Shakespeare) will see even more action this summer, what with Shakespeare in the Park and other outdoor shows. But Yuval Sharon's "mash-up" of genres and styles in this production, which zeroes in on the rather gruesome banquet Macbeth holds to celebrate the assassination of the king, may be the first time the Bard's work has ever seen opera, pop music, classical Indian dance and more colliding so freely, and our guess is that the result will be a disturbing yet electrifying illumination of the characters' madness. - Mallory Jensen

West End Theatre // 263 W. 86th St. // Through June 11, Thurs.-Sat. 8pm, Sun. 7pm // Tickets via Theatermania

READING: New York's favorite dreamy blue-eyed anchor, Anderson Cooper (bonus: son of Gloria Vanderbilt!) will be reading from his slightly panned memoir, Dispatches from the Edge, at Barnes & Noble. The memoir, unlike Cooper himself who can do no wrong in the eyes of his admirers, isn't universally adored. Critics peck at it for being too easy to construct - scenes of the world chosen not for their wars or disasters but simply because Cooper was there. Won't stop his rabid fans, though, so get there early, because all those girls with 'Anderson Cooper Gives Me a Boner' tee-shirts will surely get there early too. - Krissa Corbett Cavouras

7pm // Barnes & Noble [E. 17th St., between Park Ave South and Broadway] // Free
