Yep, street fairs are mostly full of crap and just leave the place looking shabby. I'd like to see the standard increased to drop the chains and encourage a little more variety. This is NYC after all.

"The odds were stacked against me. The car in front of me was a S.U.V. It had New Jersey plates. The driver was a woman. She was talking on her cell phone. She was Asian. And we were in Chinatown."
"She was the recent immigrant with a thick accent, and I am the white male who supposedly rules this country."

IS THIS GUY SERIOUS? he's is pretty fucking offensive.

Gothamgal is right on. While the street fairs where the local shops set up tables are nice and serve a purpose, those retarded ones in Manhattan selling the same, overpriced crap are just obnoxious. I can't believe the NYC government is willing to put the time and money into those things. I think someone should write Bloomberg and tell him that this is definitely something NYC should do without. In fact, I'll do it.
