Last Night’s Action: Mets’ Fans Miss The Chance to Boo Barroid/Yanks Squeak One Out.
-Mets and the Giants PPD: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday, giving fans two chances to let Barry know how they feel.
-Yankees 6 Orioles 5: Derek Jeter has done it so many times, you just expect him to come through in the clutch. Friday night he did again, singling home Johnny Damon with two outs in the ninth to give the Yankees the lead. Jeter was almost deprived of a chance to be the hero when it appeared that Damon had been thrown out trying to steal second, but Brian Roberts couldn’t hold on to the ball and Jeter did the rest.
With Mariano Rivera unavailable again, Kyle Farnsworth got to redeem himself with solid relief pitching, coming into the game with the bases loaded and one out and only allowing one run. Farnsworth actually got a potential double play ground ball, but Miguel Cairo didn’t field it cleanly allowing the Orioles to tie the game. Farnsworth intentionally walked Miguel Tejada before getting Ramon Hernandez to fly out to right. He pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to secure the win.

It is sort of poetic justice that the Giants-Mets game will be a double header as Mr. Steroid's head seems like it has doubled in size since his rookie season. I am just waiting for him to get plunked by a pitcher, him going into a 'roid rage and being shot by police, then charged with attempted murder. Although that would be too good for the cheater.
Bonds won't play in both games.
who knows, bonds might not play either game depending on how he's feeling.
i love that it's a single-ticket double header. i remember going to one of those a few years ago.
I have tix to the game, but do you think they'll cancel today's games as well? Its horrible outside.
I've been to Giants/Mets games WAY before all this talk about steroids and we still booed Bonds with all our might. He was an asshole before steroids and he’s an asshole right now, even though he’s a great player.
