Crumpler's Beer 4 Bags Begins Today

For the next week, the Crumpler stores are running their famous beer for bags program. The idea is simple: you bring in a specified amount of beer, and they give you a bag. At the end of the week, all the beer is used to fuel a huge party. The nice lady who runs the Spring Street branch told us they've been doing this for years in Australia, but this is the first time they've tried the program in New York. Here is the full trade-in schedule, courtesy of Thrillist:

The Winkler: 4 cans Boddingtons
The Bundle: 40oz OE + 12-pack PBR
The Aggott: 12-pack Brooklyn Lager
The McBains: 12 cans Guinness
The Moderate Embarrassment: 1 case Sapporo + 1 bottle Soy Sauce
The Barney Rustle: 1 case Coopers + 2 Fosters Oil Cans
The Complete Seed: 1 case Leffe + 1 bottle Chimay
The Holy Bean Bag Chair: 1 case Pacifico + 1 bag Limes

dave here from crumpler australia - hows it going?

to set the record straight

crumpler australia + usa does not make bags in vietnam

we have always traded our products for beer, bike parts, weed, whatever and the beer for bags sale has been held in australia for the last 3 years

we have never ripped off promotors of any race - perhaps you can share the info of this so called rip off?

quite a few messengers in australia use our stuff - actually came accross a few in NY last week using the Bees Knees as well

we dont think people are stupid unless they listen to your ill-informed comments

happy to confirm facts with you whenever you care to check first

I asked the Austalian messengers if Crumpler ever ran this shit in Australia.

THEY HAVE NEVER DONE THIS IN AUSTRALIA

They also ripped off the promotors of a big race, pulled out their sponsorship $$ -just after- the flyers/phamplets/posters/banners/JERSEYS were printed, printing costs $5000.00!

This promo is here because they caught flak for their labour practices in Vietnam! Do you think they fixed the problem?

They didn\'t, still being made by children. Even Nike & PUMA have better standards!
