Gothamist: Being a Governor of Another State Doesn't Help So Much

I kinda like that they didn't fix the errors. After all, we've pointed out what's wrong and that's a correction of sorts. (Although, if people don't leave the main page, they will be misinformed.) It's honest in a way. On the other hand, Gawker today took the other approach. The media blog referenced Laurel and Hardy and "Who's on First?" and when it was pointed out to them that "Who's on First?" was done by a different fat and skinny team -- Abbott and Costello -- they quickly altered the piece. Now, history will never know of their confusion while Gothamist proudly allows its rough draft of history to be rough for the ages.

Governor Shitforbrains strikes again. He's demonstrted as much leadership with the GOP as he has at ground zero, and with about as much to show for it. This guy gives empty suits a bad name.

Agreed with solidago. Between Spitzer and Weld, it's not a big deal who would win. They're both okay choices. Wish we could say that about our presidential candidates. I knew the last couple of times that one of those choices would be disastrous. And he has proven me right time and time again. I made the same mental association with Lazio when Faso was announced.

Spitzer landslide assured if Faso actually gets the nomination. As a Rockefeller Republican and a big fan of Bloomberg, Guiliani, Shays, (not so much Pataki) etc. I'd have a tough time choosing between Spitzer and Weld, but probably would have gone for Weld. If Faso is going to be it, Spitzer has my vote.

Then, Faso DID NOT beat Weld for the GOP nomination, merely for the state party's endorsement. And unlike the earlier commenter, I am most definitely being a (proud) stickler.
