Has anyone seen those disturbing Hep C posters around town? How about the Raconteurs cover art and accompanying posters, also hung around town? A reader just sent in these photos of both with the following questions...
"Is the cover art for The Raconteurs "Broken Boy Soliders" really a cry for help? Or is it simply The Raconteurs way of supporting a public health campaign?"
The two posters are hanging right next to each other on West Broadway. Bad idea!
As an aside, we love the Raconteurs website, so 80's (but in a good, Atari/Commodore 64 sort of way)!

Or is it a send-up of Jason Von Bondie's black eye photo (as pointed out by some music blog weeks ago)?
Don't forget the music. They fricking rock!
I got the album today and love it.
i hate those posters! it's if hep c WERE not WAS!
personally, i was all about the Coleco Adam in the 80's. too l33t for you pansies, i gather.
why the subjunctive tense ?
Subjunctive mood is used to express possibilities. "If I were a rich man..."
Those are black eyes and bruises and cuts. Sorry to break the tenuous connection for you.
I have chronic Hepatitis C, and couldn't care less about the incorrect use of subjunctives
The Hep C ads were designed and retouched in house at Foote Cone Belding New York. They're too purple.
The other Hep C poster up around town looks a lot like David Duchovny.
what the fuck is a raconteur? how do you say it? is it Rack-on-tour or is it rake-on-ter? why didn't they just name it jack white's band without meg?
Hey Constant -- aka captain obvious ...the post is called sarcasm....
