Yes, I saw some this morning on the A train and was hoping someone would shoot pics since my phone isn't a cam. I saw some that read,"don't deport", "have hope", don't colonize the phillipines".
i seriously doubt that any "uncouth" people are literate enough to know what that means. I would prefer a more direct sign that says "stop being such a filthy rude asshole", or "get an education you ebonic idiot". come to think of it, those signs should be in spanish too.
I saw one three years ago. It said "Do not bomb Iraq" What was astonishing to me was the entire sticker had been mocked up to perfectly match the font and design. These appear to be partial stickers. The one I saw vis-a-vis Iraq was very powerful because the expression was so subtle and so anonymous.
Those look kinda crappy. The "Do Not Fall in Love" ones were really well done. Also a full sized mock up of the original rather than just a partial sticker over top of it.
I think the "Do not bomb Iraq" was part of a series - I remember "Do not deport families" and I'm pretty sure there was at least one more. They were very well-made.
Does anyone find it ironic that one says, "Do not be uncouth"? After all, when you're inconsiderate enough to vandalize something, the last thing you should be doing is telling others to mind their manners.

I recall seeing a few years ago "Do not raise fare".
Anyone have the size specs of the stickers?
if they really wanted them to blend in they shouldn't have capitalized each word, but that's nitpicking...
How about "Do not play stupid MP3s on your goddamned cell phone like it's a boombox."

i think that's racist towards asian fobs. i'm calling Jesse Jackson.
Saw a notice up in Atlantic-Pacific station this weekend:
Day of Kindness
Fri. 11:59 PM - Sun 12:01 AM
May 13th
No service interruptions anticipated as a result of your kindness in motion.

Is this part of some system-wide subversive signage campaign? Pretty cool.
Do Not Bomb Iraq would be good advice for the insurgents and Al Qaeda. And don't forget those meddlesome Iranians.
I get the feeling the "do not bomb Iraq" sticker from three years ago was before the U.S. started the war (therefore before the insurgency).
oooh, looks like someone read the piece on jeane. how current event of you.
I saw one that said "Do not Fall in Love" once. To this day I still fear love.
the do not fall in love ones were the best, i have an old pic on my cameraone that came out blurry. i will always remember it
Do Not Hold Grudges was on the R train a few weeks ago.
Given recent events, someone should make "Do not whip it out."

Buahaha...

does anyone have the link to that "make your own MTA sign" page?

A few months ago on the A (or the C?) I saw "Do Not Look at Her".
Sarah Freis, of course, would never smell bad or be uncouth.
I saw one on the L train that said "Do Not Wage Wars"
