Agree to above statement.... it's these elitist lefties that are here to legislate us into safety and health. They know best how we should live our lives ala Oprah, Streisand, Rosie, The Brady's, etc... and darn if they don't pass the most repressive laws to enforce their beliefs on us!

Bloomberg doesn't have the authority to conduct his own private investigations outside NYC. If he paid a PI to knowly make firearms purchases for someone else, then Bloomberg committed multiple felonies, and he just admitted it to world.

can you spell authoritarian, What you described usually results in crappy, watered down bills that look good but accomplish nothing. See Bill Clinton's presidency for examples. And I'll take "what I personally think is in the best interests of the city" over "what my donors told me is in the best interests of the city" any day.

moderates don't rule with "what I personally think is in the best interests of the city." moderates compromise on both sides, but blooomberg pisses off both sides. there's a difference. can you spell "authoritarian"?
