Tidbits

2004_07_food_hotdogporn2.jpg- As part of your National Hamburger Month celebration, make sure you eat these 20. The boys at A Hamburger Today revisit Alan Richman's GQ article from last summer. At least three are in New York -- you may have to travel a bit more for the others.

- If you don't want burgers (or don't feel like venturing off of the island of Manhattan), try Ed Levine's favorite hot dogs instead.

- Keith McNally's ex-wife and former business partner is planning to open a restaurant in the old Caffe Rosso space, according to the New York Post. What does this mean for Keith? That the ex will be lurking right nearby his new spot which is currently under construction at 15 Charles Street. New York City is sometimes a very small place.

- And in case you didn't get enough of the James Beard Awards, you can get the backstage perspective courtesy of Andrew Dornenberg and Karen Page at Becoming A Chef.

Hamburger freaks should check out George Motz's documentary Hamburger America, a tribute to our nation's finest. Finest hamburgers, that is.

Peter Luger burgers? Feh! I don't trust a buger eater who rank that burger number in the nation.
