I've read that the real Sam Champion is flattered that they think his name is cool. The band also has Ryan from RANA on drums and sometimes Matt from RANA on keys. They are great in a Pavement kind of way. Noah's voice has a lot in common with Malkamus. Definitely worth seeing.

Naming yourself after remarkable foppish weatherman - very cool. Scraggly fro and scraggly beard - tragically overdone and so over. Neat and non-homeless-looking is the new black. (which, I might add, has nothing to do with the music. Just saying.)
