A few weeks back the guys who run the Overheard sites got into a big disagreement, which ended with the publisher (Morgan) pushing the editor (Michael Malice) out of the site. Malice went on to found his own version of the site As we're no fan of blog-beef, we were glad to hear that the guys settled their feud yesterday:
We want to state publicly that we have reached an agreement regarding our sites that both parties are satisfied with. We now return you to our regularly scheduled eavesdropping.
Morgan will continue to run OverheardinNY, while Michael will run the new OverheardatCollege-- he'll close down his New York Overheard version of the site. We forgot to ask who gets OverheardintheOffice.

Hmm, It Makes You Wonder
90-year-old breakdancing white woman in pink tutu: Hey Charlie, do you think these 'Overheard in NY' things are real?
Red-fez-wearing Charlie the spider monkey: Of COURSE they're real! Hoot hoot wah wah wah oof oof!

Who are you, and what have you done with Jake?
good, b/c malice's new york overheard site was just recycling stuff from the original site -- the same quotes would show up anywhere between an hour and a day later, just with better written malice headlines. slogging through both quote feeds was getting to be a pain in the ass.
