Man talking about hurricane hopefulls. I dont have much experience with diff clam chowders being from texas and all but, is it really suppose to be that watery/runny-whoops drop a water logged peice a bread in it too nice touch. I like cambells better :) and 50% cheaper.

I was at the chowder-off and I gotta say all the chowders were delicious. Ben's were definitely top-notch. I won't give away the surprise of who won, but we brooklyn chowder fans had a great time. oh, and I second the high marks for surf bar's burgers. If you're not feeling in a chowder mood, they're grrrreat!

I have had some of the worst service and worst chowder of my life each of the 3 times I tried Hurricane Hopeful.

I've been saying this for years, maybe once Surf Bar gets some buzz, people will believe me: Surf Bar has the best burgers in the city. Shake Shack and Peter Luger notwithstanding. Check 'em out.
