Moussaoui Says He's a Big Liar

2006_04_moussaoui.jpgOh, Zacarias Moussaoui, you big kidder you! Yesterday, the alleged (and confessed!) September 11 conspirator claimed he lied about his involvement and wanted a new trial. Reading his affidavit seems to confirm the life sentence jurors agreed on:

I had thought that I would be sentenced to death based on the emotions and anger toward me for the deaths on Sept. 11, but after reviewing the jury verdict and reading how the jurors set aside their emotions and disgust for me and focused on the law and the evidence that was presented during the trial, I came to understand that the jury process was more complex than I had assumed...

I now see that it is possible that I can receive a fair trial even with Americans as jurors.

Moussaoui chalked up his problems with understanding the justice system to not having a Muslim lawyer and being in solitary. He also said his confession that he was supposed to fly a fifth plane on September 11 was made-up, too. At any rate, U.S. District Judge Leonia Brinkema rejected his motion.

  • i think

i think he is just an narcissistic attention whore who has turned into a cry baby now that the trial is over and he is not in the papers anymore. what a joke that guy is.

i am glad they gave him life in prison. giving him death would have given him what he wanted. much better to let him rot in prison in solitary confinement. i am guessing he won't make too many friends wherever he is...

  • "Do over!" What a loser.

  • looking like a fool is not somthing he's too worried about.

while i agree with most of what #2 and 4 have said, let me explain further.

I do not disagree that martyrdom is what he/they had intended, it's what they all (except their leaders) want, but did not receive by his/they're own fumblings and by the verdict by the jury, i.e. the death penalty.

However, I do stand by my case on the basis of the law. "The terrorists" use our system against us, and they're good at it, they did it in 9/11 and continue it with this particular trial/vedict. They swim in the love to exploit themselves, our laws and especially the victims.

He may look like a fool, but believe me, it's benefiting his alleged cause and reason.

Personally, I am very satisfied with his life (no parole) in prison sentence. Death by injection is too much mercy, something he lacked when plotting to kill thousands of American and allied civilians, which by the way, is an act of war.

    TimN,

    YES.

  • L & O

edEx, Moussaoui is actually looking like a fool, like a dog with his tail between his legs. The terrorists lost this one. Pure, American-style law and order will prevail.

  • Do you get the feeling that Zach woke up and said, "Oh, shit, I'm in jail!!!"

  • Sorry Ed, have to disagree with you there. The "terrorists" got exactly the opposite of what they want, which is martyrdom. What old Zaccy sees is that despite 9/11, despite the suspicion of all things Middle Eastern, and despite his own inane ramblings of guilt, the jury was astute enough to give him life without parole instead of the death penalty. Now he's stuck.

  • Again, it seems as if "the terrorists" won this one. Moussaoui will manipulate the US Justice System and US law to his advantage. And inevitablly his situation will never change, but that's bit the point, it's about the hate for our lives and freedoms, ironic no?

Moussaoui is doing exactly what "the terrorists" want and love, the ultimate mocking of American Justice and a grand stage. This is a game for him, as is blowing up American and allied interests on a global level.

Since he's not free on the outside stage, he's using our tax dollars for a multi-million dollar publicity stunt. Perhaps we as New Yorkers and Americans should stop whining about the design and cost of a fitting memorial for the victims and whine more about the excessive spending of our dollars on useless criminals like Moussaoui.
