<description>&lt;p&gt;Instead of cracking jokes at Republicans maybe the Democratic Party could recognize that a moderate like Bloomberg had to abandon the local party because it was too far to the left for New York voters.  Four straight election defeats and they haven&apos;t learned anything.  Is 2009 going to be five more ultra-liberals battling it out for the nomination?  For people you are the self annointed better educated half of the country they act awfully dumb.  Or maybe they are just insane.  Isn&apos;t one of the signs of insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?&lt;/p&gt;</description>
