We were walking over to the anti-war march yesterday when we noticed a commotion in Washington Square Park. It turned out that there was some kind of small dog festival going on-- complete with costumes and music. The atmosphere was literally rife with daschunds and weinerdoodles and schnauzers and other miniature pups. If you missed out on the fun, the NYC Dachshund and Small Dogs meetups are next Sunday.
Somewhat related: did you know that Greenpoint's BARC Shelter has a blog?

My neighbor's dog is going to be pissed because she didn't get to go to this. We will all feel her wrath, her long, skinny, wrath.
I unsuspectingly happened upon this in the park a few years ago. Wiener dogs -- everywhere! A felliniesque moment, to be sure.
Must've been packed with gaygays too.
did you know that there's actually no barc in greenpoint? but there is one in williamsburg.
