Before you go spending $80 on something like, say, cutting your hair...we've got a tip for you. The SuperCuts on St. Mark's Place will be holding a Cut-A-Thon this Sunday, to benefit the Innocence Project (a legal services organization dedicated to freeing the wrongfully convicted).
Has anyone been to a SuperCuts in the city? We went to one in a mall once, on an emergency visit after letting our friend cut our braids off in elementary school. Anyway, on Sunday the best SuperCuts stylists from around the city will be offering haircuts for a minimum donation of $5. Absolutely all proceeds will benefit the Innocence Project, and staff from the organization as well as recent exoneree, Barry Gibbs, will be in attendance as well - answering questions regarding the organization's work.

I have had several AWFUL experiences at different SuperCuts, but the people who work at the St. Mark's branch do a pretty decent job.
Supercuts know how to cut only one style for a guy. If you want the standard east coast jewish conservative short cut, your fine. otherwise they do a disasterous half assed attempt at cutting hair. You should have taken the space for this pointless post about ruining your hair, and found some a decent place to get a haircut. it seems like NY is void of a good barbershop, if only i went back to the west coast more often.
