I agree about the low water pressure for flushing for nyc. And as a resident of Seattle, I suspect our lack of problems w/ clogging is due to healthier eating: People around here are very much into vegetarianism and eating diets w/ fiber and low meat content.

Ooh, thanks for the link. I think the subtext of this information is that NYC is full of poo, but that's just our scatalogically inclined mind at work.

Not surprising. The plumbing here blows. Low water pressure and anemic toilets. My current apartment, however, came equipped with a FlushMate. I've had no clogs with this thing. It's amazing and well worth whatever it must have cost.
