renney didn't particularly coach the team into their current position (well, save maybe this current losing streak), he just didn't get in the way. jags demands to be on the ice, as a coach, who are you to argue with your top player . . . and his buddies. rangers down in 5, because there's still some pride left amongst a few of the players.

I think Renney deserves a lot of credit for getting this team to go as far as it did w/ the lack of talent beyond Jagr and solid goaltending. Without Jagr and Renney's coaching, this team would have finished way out of the playoff running.

as a ranger fan it pains me to say it, but this team destroyed itself 16 days ago... the last time they got a win. devils in 4, but goodbye to them after that.

Before it was proven that one could go without hockey (see: NHL Lockout) some of us were Devils fans. One has to admire a team that actually admits they are from New Jersey and will stay in New Jersey and not despoil the County of Kings. Prediction: Devils in 4.
