Twiddling Their Thumbs

2006_04_snetslogo.jpgAs some teams played to lose Tuesday, the Nets hardly played to win, though the game remained devoid of some star power. The Nets' Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson joined Sixers stars Allen Iverson and Chris Webber on the bench. Well, at least Kidd and Jefferson showed up; Webber and Iverson did not get to the game on time. Vince Carter also set the single-season mark for Nets scoring.

Gothamist is anxious for the playoffs to start. Thanks to the bunch up in the bottom half of the conference, the Nets' first round opponent is still unknown. Gothamist would prefer it not be Indiana, who would be seeded sixth if the season had only 81 games. The seeding remains out of the Nets' hands, however, so they'll rest before the weekend.
