Why do I, as well, always wonder how people use the bathroom in these situations? So glad they were rescued without any tragedies though!

I rode it one time and that was enough for me. I said I might do it again if someone from out of town wanted to go but that trip really should be free like the SI ferry. Wasn't it a scene from Spiderman? Why didn't he come out to save them? I'm glad everyone was safe but how on earth did they use the bathroom??? That's a long time to hold it.

I haven't watched the coverage, but what exactly is everybody picking on Bloomberg about? If he put emphasis on the second syllable, there's nothing wrong with that. It's not the way most people pronounce it, but it is valid, especially when you're not referring to boats in Venice. Seriously, folks, dictionary -- look into it. Because if that's what the mayor said, you reveal nothing but your own willful ignorance and narrow-mindedness by mocking him.

That is amazing I would have been in the corner urinating after the first two hours. Thankfully they got those people down ok. I have never ridden the tram, but I am seriously going to on my next day off.
