It's time the reformers got reformed themselves. This was never about a fair wage for TWU members. They are better taken care of than the vast majority of workers in this country. This was only ever about union power over the city and the MTA. Francis Perkins would be disgusted at how union leaders have perverted what she started.

Big money? Just how much did they cost the city in lost wages and productivity? $2.5 mil is too small by an order of magnitude. Sue 'em into oblivion, I say.

I'm positively surprised. TWU lawyer is a joke. It is irrelevant whether fines will bankrupt TWU (unfortunately, they won't) or not since they broke the law.

It is outrageous if TWU can deduct monthly dues automatically after 90 days. This should be permanent just like Taylor's law says.

Why is this nutless judge jones giving the TWU a half a million dollar discount. The TWU attorneys are lying when they claim this will bankrupt the union. They get to collect dues for the rest of eternity and the only overhead they have is to negotiate a contract every couple of years which has minimal cost. The dues deductions could still possibly be permanent. rank and file transit workers should push to prevent Roger from re-installing the automatic paycheck deductions.
