Water Musuem Opens [Insert Splash Joke Here]

2006_04_15_water.jpg

What can we say, Gothamist loves museums. Love 'em. Maybe we read From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler too many times? Anyway, after this article over in the Villager, we think our next museum trip might just have to be the New York Museum of Water.

When we were wee our Father would scold us for using an umbrella, telling us we should "just pay more attention and dodge the raindrops." So you see why we really want to check out the Finish-made permanent installation at the museum "Fogscreen". Creating a "mist so dense and stable that it can be used as a screen on which to project images," the "4-foot-long, 1-foot-high and 2-foot-wide" contraption "breaks water into a thick mist of droplets so fine that visitors can walk through without getting wet." This we want to see.
