And Now, the Giant Inflatable Mets Cap

2006_04_smetscap.jpg

In an early gift from the Easter Bunny (in the form of Jesse Chan-Norris), Gothamist received a picture of the other giant inflatable baseball cap yesterday. The Yankee cap is on 6th Avenue and the Mets cap is near the Queensborough Bridge on the Manhattan side. Is anybody else wondering what kind of insurance coverage they need for these huge caps? And we kind of think our photoshop job looks better than the end result.

Meanwhile in Queens, the Mets won again after waiting out the rain. In the 4-3 win over the Brewers, Tom Glavine pitched magnificently over six innings. Glavine struck 11 Brewers out and allowed only 1 unearned run. David Wright, who's on fire to start the season was cooled off by the rain and held hitless last night. Unfortunately for SNY, things haven't been going very smoothly. In addition to their numerous broadcast problems, Gary Cohen was caught taking a dig at Victor Zambrano while he thought his microphone was off.

I have one which I took from the Roosevelt Island Tram as part of a massive bike ride/photo safari (with a LIRR and subway interlude) today.
I'd have posted it earlier, but I was just too tired.
