Ah, there is nothing like a seemingly unhinged would-be terrorist taking the stand in his own death penalty trial. Zacarias Moussaoui testified during the sentencing part of his trial, and, like his first trip to the witness stand where he "confessed" to being one of hijackers planning the September 11 attacks, he gave plenty for the prosecution to savor. Like saying how happy he was that people died on September 11, mentioning that he would kill Americans as soon as possible, complaining that his defense lawyer is American and Jewish, criticizing the victims' families' testimony and saying that President Bush would pardon him. For example: "I just wish it had happened on [Sept.] 12th, the 13th, the 14th, the 15th, the 16th and the 17th. We have to destroy you." We can't tell who Moussaoui is trying to work with more - the prosecution or defense, because even though he hates his defense team, he's making a compelling case for mental illness.
And in other September 11 news, 300 more bone fragments were found at 130 Liberty Street - the Deutsche Bank building. This is added to the 75 found the other week, and families are worried more will be missed while workers ready for the building's destruction.

He's made a mockery of the trial. Luckily, unlike the Hussein trial in Baghdad, he can mock all he wants, but the juridical institution is firm here and, while letting him have his say, won't put up with this bullsh#t in the judgement.
Best wishes,

The families are worried about bone fragments? Get a life--this was FIVE years ago. Shut up.
I like the fact that he read verses from the Koran showing how it tells muslims to destroy the infidels. His claim that Islam needs to be the sole superpoer on earth and that the USA stands in the way is as clear an explanation of "why do they hate us?" as anything else ever shown in the press.
That's it folks; we have been told this to our faces for five years now and yet we persist in excuses. People say that Moussai is insane and that he and his Al Qaida cronies are an aberration. No they are not! They are just carrying the religious teachings of the Koran and the separate collected political views of Mohammed to their logical conclusion.
