When the season began would any sane fan have guessed that someone would score 53 goals for the Rangers or that the team would reach 100 points? If you did, send proof, but for everyone else, the Rangers reached both unlikely milestones in yesterday’s 4-3 victory over the Bruins.
Jagr’s goal was important for more than the record, it started the Rangers comeback. Boston scored the first two goals of the game and had greatly outplayed the Rangers until Jagr scored midway through the first. He then setup Michael Nylander to tie the game in the second The Rangers went ahead when Jarkko Immonen scored his second goal in as many games.
The Bruins tied it up, but 40 seconds into overtime, Nylander split the defense and netted the puck off of two nice passes from Poti and Jagr. The win gives the Rangers a five-point division lead with five games to play. They face the Devils tonight at 7:30.

Congrats to our boys and to Immonen as well.
Anyone have thoughts on Immonen? Obviously an excellent addition, think he will be with us long, or back to hartford?
I think Renney'd have to be nuts to send Immonen back down. I like Hossa or Ortmeyer much as the next guy, but they simply don't stand up to the offensive prowess Immonen has shown in Hartford and in his two games with the big boys.
Immonen is looking for a job. Great way to sell yourself!
Love Orts and his OHM linemates.
Marcy Hossa blows.
