Upcoming

EVENT: It's the first Friday in April, which means one thing (to us at least): the Guggenheim! The Flavorpill curated event has Rjd2 and MC Beans bringing their style to the turntables tonight. Drink and dance the night away, but don't touch the art please.

Friday // 9pm to 1am // Guggenheim Museum [1071 5th Ave] // $20

ART: This city is full of poster art and tonight at The Brooklyn Poster Show there will be an entire installation dedicated to it. Everyone appreciates poster art and it's role in beautifying our streets, everyone also appreciates free drinks and live local music. So get over there!

Friday (runs through April 30th) // 6-10pm // Secret Project Robot [210 Kent Ave, Williamsburg] // Free

2006_04_arts_freenyc.jpgPARTY: Our favorite resource for free events in this city, FreeNYC, is turning 2 this weekend! Just like when we turned 2, these guys will also be having 6 DJs playing "hip-hop classics, crunked out grime jams, prom favorites and dancefloor techno". Not to mention an open bar at 10, free passes to the Bodies exhibit for the first 50 people and gift bags to the last 25 standing! Want more? There will also be live music provided by Chin Chin and Greenways8.

Saturday // 10:30 to 4am // Galapagos (70 N 6th St, Williamsburg) // Free (rsvp here)

COMEDY: Slightly Known People (SKP)'s weekly sketch comedy show (of the same name) is Seeing Other People! They've already seen Michael Showalter and God's Pottery. Those sluts. This week they'll be seeing sketch group: Almost Blonde. Come laugh at the scandal, won't you?

Saturday // 8pm // RiFiFi [332 East 11th St] // $5
