Le One Night Stand
Tonight is Le One Night Stand's One-Year Anniversary Party! What does this mean? First off it means that Melody Nelson will be singing Serge Gainsbourg covers with Die Romantik, now that's something you don't see everyday. Melody Nelson, of course, is a monicker taken from Gainsbourg's concept album Histoire de Melody Nelson.
The night is subtitled J'aime Serge, a little tribute to one of French pop's greatest. There will be complimentary Macau Beer from 11-12am, go-go dancers and three live bands performing the best of Serge Gainsbourg. Three really good bands, we might add:
8pm - La Laque
9pm - Die Romantik with guest Melody Nelson
10pm- Nous Non Plus
The night goes on and on and on and on, even once the live music stops - with resident DJs (Melody Nelson, Sheila B, Josh Styles, Peppermintwist) spinning til way past your bedtime. We know what you're thinking..."where is the super special guest dj that I've come to expect at parties and events?" Have no fear, there is one, but we're not saying who - mainly since we have no idea who it is.
