Gothamist PSA: Daylight Savings Starts at 2 A.M.

Remember kids, before you head out partying or go to sleep tonight try to remember to set your clocks forward one hour.

Better to get it done with sooner rather then later.

And in the meantime, you can learn some more about the history of DST here. And if you are dreading losing that extra hour of sleep, remember it could be worse. You could live in Indiana and be losing that hour for the first time!

And sorry about the red Futura, we just couldn't help ourselves.

As for saving energy, you just shift the usage time from the evening to the morning. Just another example of politicos making it look like they are doing something when they are actually doing nothing of value and disrupts people. Sort of like subway bag searches, but without the civil liberties problems.

Wow, Jesus actually posted a comment here. That's impressive.

I'm just excited that it stays lighter longer. Woohoo!

Thanks for this reminder- I would've been late for church without it.

Toby, DST has nothing to do with modern energy usage. Get educated.
