Drink Up: Almost Ready To Pour

a voce.jpgAccording to A Voce, (pictured) spring comes this week when the 100-seat expansion opens and we can sip near beautiful (and fragrant) lemon trees. Though the place has gotten mixed reviews, we're not casting our vote until we have a glass of wine in the back. Clearly, we're pro-spring.

Also in the works is a bar on the South Street Seaport that doesn't cater to tourists. Sandra Tedesco and Calli Lerner open the much-delayed Bin No.220 next week on Front Street, part of the building's historic preservation plan. The brick walls here are as old as the foundation and the iron columns throughout the space, and with as much planning going into the wine and Italian menu we hope it'll erase any and all memories of only being able to get frozen drinks at the Seaport. We hope they'll be pouring lunch, too.
