Awww, look who's turning 3! It's our little Xicala, who is throwing a tapas and wine dinner for themselves to celebrate. They'll be serving 4 wines with 4 tapas (one for each year and one for good luck?) – Boquerones en Vinagre, Croquetas de Jamon, Chorizo Fundido con Queso, and Tortilla Espanola. 6:30 – 8:30, Xicala, 151 Elizabeth Street between Broome and Kenmare, $40/person. March 29: The Meatrix II - Revolting
Come view the sequel to Webby-award winning The Meatrix. This animated short, featuring Leo, Chickity, and Moopheus (pictured), is designed to "expose the truth behind factory farm milk and educate viewers about the importance of supporting local, organic, and sustainable dairy farming practices," and was produced by the Sustainable Table Project and Free Range Studios. For more information, visit www.themeatrix2.com. 6-7pm, Bowery Poetry Club, 308 Bowery at Bleecker Street.
