i lived in southern california for most of my life and i saw coyotes (and yes, roadrunners) nearly every day. they are scraggly, rough skinny little things, and looks more like a german sheperd on it's way to the grave than any healthy breed.

Oh come on people, they look more like a German Shepherd than a Cocker Spaniel, Chihuahua or Rottweiler...it's the closest description you can offer to the person who's never seen one. Similar size and shape, shaggy fur. What other dog most resembles a coyote, even though they are obviously not exactly the same?

Whew! At least he won't meet the same fate as that hapless raccoon who wandered onto a bus in NJ. I've heard that coyotes can resemble German shepherds, but maybe they're not referring to the generic black-and-tan police-dog varieties. I've seen a few in the wild, they look more like skinny wolves. They're sooooo cute!

So how much are the taxpayers shelling out for the several city agencies to track one animal that eats rats and small rat like dogs? I say release a whole pack.

ok, so a coyote does not resemble a german sheperd. unless you're talking about a german sheperd with a really strange disease that has lost all resemblence to a german sheperd.
