Video of the Day: Predators of the Sprawl

Here's a silly little animation to brighten up your Monday morning. Looks like the backgrounds for the short were taken ~~in Manhattanville, just up from Fairway~~ in LIC next to 5 Pointz (D'oh-- forgot about that block under the 7). What we really love about this piece, of course, is the message: white graffiti poseurs suck balls!

the irony of this statement, jake, is that you continously ride the coattails of these very "white graffiti poseurs" by taking pictures of their work and celebrating boring, yuppie-fied graffiti culture (see streetsy, wooster collective). bad post all around.

This video is about as clever and relevant as Jake himself.

That's one minute of my life I won't get back. Seriously, what's great about it, Jake? Is it the atrocious fake English accent? The mock-nature program style narration that's been done a million times? The "message" that white kids who dig hip hop are all poseurs, because no one's ever had the balls to say it?
