- From our friends over at Thrillist: the next time you have a hankering for wild boar, or antelope, or . . . um, llama patties (we didn't make this one up), visit exoticmeats.com
- Sure, you may know that tomorrow is the first Saturday of March Madness, but did you also know that it's also the 13th Annual National Corndog Day? To honor the day, parties are being held across the US, (and even one in Australia) where participants will be chowing down on corndogs (supplied by event sponsor Foster Farms) and tater tots, and washing them down with copious quantities of beer. Visit the website for a list of party locations and official "rules."
- The Daily News visits Williamsburg's Grand Avenue to sample its "emerging restaurant row," and also heads to UreƱa, giving it two stars.

llama patties? how boring. keep an eye out for the annual lower east side rattleQ - now that's some good exotic meats.
we had rattle-q last summer. it was awesome though i would recommend eating more than just a few strips of snake, as you might end up trying to do a kickflip in a nightclub.
that article about Grand Ave. is actually about Grand St. It says Grand Ave in the first pgh, but all of those restaurants are actually on Grand Street. That's kind of a big error considering there is a Grand Ave in Brooklyn, just not anywhere near what they're talking about.
I ordered from Exotic Meats last summer and the llama patties were great - very juicy and they made a perfect alternative to regular hamburgers. The Yak, on the other hand, was REALLY weird - one of the most unique tasting foods I've ever had.
"Unique" as in I want to Yak all over myself?
Kind of gross, but not in a fear factor slimy way, it just really tatsed like something you'd eat in a Mongolian yurt.
