Paul Pfieffer Lives!

2006_3_paulpfieffer1.jpg

Back in the 1980s, when we were little nerds in Brooklyn, the Paul Pfieffer character on the Wonder Years was our patron saint. Asthmatic, near-sighted, and underweight-- he had it all, and was played with great-verve by Josh Saviano. We hadn't thought much about him in the last 20 years, but naturally assumed he went the way of all child actors and was clutching a crackpipe in some drainage ditch in the San Fernando valley. Not so! Turns out Josh turned away from Hollywood and got a law degree from Benjamin Cardozo right here in the city! Television's loss is Morrison Cohen LLP's gain. If you're in need of a corporate lawyer, give him a ring! [Via SaveManny.]

Where's the Ode to Millhouse, Dobkin?

he was so ahead of his time...his indie look has influenced the likes of Weezer and Dave Hansen.
Gotta love him.

So he was never Marilyn Manson?

I spotted him during his first year of law school while visiting a friend at Cardozo in their student lounge. He was in a study group and seemed quite annoyed everytime someone peered at him. Ahh, the price of celebrity!

No no no... Mikey from Life Cereal became Marilyn Manson. Right after he ingested the Pop Rocks.

I remember reading that the girl that played Winnie got a degree in mathematics from UCLA. Fred Savage presumably still hears Daniel Stern narrating his life.

Great-give away where he works so people can stalk/annoy/prank call him.

Way to go Gothamist...

Oh, c'mon.

I have to agree with Mickster on this one - that kind of blows. Yes, he's reaped the benefits of having been an actor, but it's not like we're talking about some attention whore here.

I think Savage also got a business degree from Stanford, but now has some new sitcom on TV. I guess one can't escape their celebrity status.

Winnie also posed for Maxim or FHM, one of the worse spread I've ever seen.

this is not new info..this has been posted all over the internet for a couple of years. Way to be on top!

This supports my theory: eventually, EVERYONE goes to law school.

I like this:
"when we were little nerds in Brooklyn"
as if Gothamist assumes it's über-hip now.

Not sure what took Gothamist so long to catch up with Pfeif. He used to be the score keeper of the French Woods Performing Arts Camp basketball team. Luckily, they were the only camp mine could regularly defeat.

I often see him at Joe's coffee @ Waverly. He seems very nice person.

ohh, I thought for sure that he was Marilyn Manson too!

Isn't Winnie some sort of super mathematical genius?

he sorta looks like ray romano!

Celebrity stalking?

Weak, Gothamist.
