strange you guys think what you do. i'm a regular at rue b brunch and have found the drinks exceptional. maybe because they use fresh squeezed juices with such flavor you've mistaken the mimosas as all juice. the bartender knows his job and i highly doubt they alter any of the liquor.

I got a watered down drink about a couple years ago at the Pyramid. Is that wanker club still around?

i've noticed the same thing, too. i went on new year's day and had 2 drinks and didn't feel a thing. then i went with friends a few months ago and we each had about 8 mimosas. we were barely buzzed when we left. granted we're no lightweights, but 8 mimosas? come on. they were straight up juice, obviously. no wonder the drinks are so cheap during brunch - there's no booze in them!

i used to go here a lot & returned a few weeks ago after a lengthy hiatus. something strange happened: i had about 4 glasses of scotch and a martini. the (petite) lady i was with had 4 glasses of wine and a martini. neither of us was drunk. maybe a little 'happy' but not really even that. i'm not a big drinker and i should have been loaded. not to menion the 5'1" woman, who was equally standing on 2 feet.

anybody ever get watered-down drinks there, or anywhere? and i don't think they used water--it was probably something water-like. The booze didn't have as much bite as it should have. really strange...
