Amazing it's taken this long - I worked with Jim for a while way way back in 1999 trying to move Chowhound's boards to a customized version of my BBS script, but mine didn't then accommodate multiple-page message lists which he clearly needed. Jim knows very specifically how he wants the next generation of the Chowhound boards to work, so I hope Cnet makes it happen.

I stick to egullet since the user interface at chowhound is so damn awful. No food/restaurant tip is worth wading through a circa 1995 format messsage board.

About damb time It's such a shame they waited so long while folks like egullet.com didn't let technology stand in the way Chowhound still has better local NYC tips, can't wait for a new format!
